Arrest reports

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 32 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Edward J. Mills, 46, of the 1300 block of Convention Street in Baton Rouge, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for obtaining a prescription by fraud. The warrant stems from an investigation into a report of someone attempting to fill a forged prescription April 3 at a pharmacy in Morgan City.
Narcotics detectives identified the suspect as Mills and a warrant was issued for his arrest. A deputy transported Mills from Pointe Coupee Parish to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. No bail is set.
—Gary Draper, 41, of the 100 block of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:48 a.m. Wednesday on two warrants for the Houma Police Department for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery and failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace.
A deputy received information regarding Draper’s whereabouts and located him at a business in Amelia on the active warrants. Draper was jailed and later transferred to another jurisdiction.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Three male juveniles, ages 13, 14 and 15, were arrested at 8:12 a.m. Wednesday after a teacher at Morgan City High School encountered the three juveniles attempting to enter the weight room building on school property. The juveniles were then observed entering a parked school bus in the parking area, damaging the interior of the bus by activating a fire extinguisher inside the vehicle. Officers located the subjects nearby and identified the juveniles as the suspects. They were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and each charged with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass. They were then released to parents pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Ricky L. Duval, 33, of Park Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:16 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear for theft by shoplifting, a warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on resisting an officer and driving under suspension, resisting an officer and criminal trespass.
Officers were dispatched to a Roderick Street apartment regarding an illegally parked vehicle. While investigating, officers encountered the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Duval. He could not provide officers with an identification and while attempting to retrieve his identification, fled from officers. Officers searched the area after being provided with a description and with the aid of a tip from a local resident, were able to apprehend the suspect as he fled throughout the neighborhood. Duval was jailed.
—Mong T. Duval, 28, of William Street in Patterson, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday for two brake lights required, no motor vehicle insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule III buprenorphine and four counts for possession of Schedule III hydrocodone.
An officer observed a vehicle being driven with improper lighting in the area of Sixth Street and Brashear Avenue and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Duval, could not produce a driver’s license. She was jailed.
—Nicole M. Fisher, 42, of Belanger Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to pay a fine for shoplifting, failure to pay a fine for contempt of court and contempt of court.
Officers located Fisher at her Belanger Street residence and she was jailed.
—Sydnie Wainwright, 18, of Chester Bowles Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace by fighting.
Officers were dispatched to a complaint of a fight on Chester Bowles Street in Morgan City. Officers learned that a 14-year-old juvenile and an adult, Wainwright, were involved in a fist fight. Both were jailed. The juvenile was released to parents pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Roberto L. Ramos, 35, of Halsey Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace by fighting.
—Diego Guerrero, 24, of Halsey Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace by fighting.
Morgan City police officers received a complaint from a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputy who observed two persons involved in a physical altercation on La. 182. Officers learned that Ramos and Diego Guerrero had been involved in a fistic encounter before officers encountered them. The subjects both had physical evidence of the encounter and were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
—James Follins, 61, of Fourth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for contempt of court. Follins was located at a Fourth Street residence and jailed.
—Brandi W. Lacoste, 31, of La. 182 in Franklin, was arrested at 3:32 a.m. today for possession of Schedule III hydrocodone, improper turning, operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, on a warrant for improper lane usage and a warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office failure to appear for traffic arraignment
—Nicole E. Ross, 24, of Lake Road, Franklin, was arrested at 3:32 a.m. today for possession of marijuana.
A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Front and Belanger streets after observing it fail to signal a turn. They identified the driver as Lacoste, who was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Lacoste also was wanted on warrants for the Morgan City Police Department and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department. Ross was a passenger in the car who was found in possession of suspected marijuana. Both were jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Sean Lejeune, 23, of the 1200 block of Onstead Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. today for driving while intoxicated second offense, reckless operation and speeding 105 mph in a 45 mph zone. Lejeune was observed speeding on La. 182 in Berwick near the post office. He is awaiting bail to be set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
