Arrests reports

Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Dowayne Charlot, 38, of the 1800 block of M Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday on a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Charlot was transferred to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 36 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Steven Legnon, 21, of the 100 block of Legnon Court in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:59 p.m. Thursday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned from store personnel that Legnon was seen taking items of clothing and putting them on before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Legnon was released on a summons to appear in court Oct. 13.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrest:
—Mark J. Derouen, 29, of Tower Tank Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on a Patterson warrant for failure to appear for a leash law violation.
An officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Derouen was found to have an outstanding warrant for Patterson Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
