Morgan City man charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after vehicle crash

Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—Breunte Morris, 22, of Adams Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:50 a.m. Friday on a warrant for allowing dogs to roam.
Morris was taken to the police department with bail set at $248.
—Curtis Robinson, 43, of Fourth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:48 a.m. Friday for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
—Scott J. Breaux, 31, of Maple Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Friday for careless operation with an accident and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Seventh Street and Brashear Avenue. Officers investigating the crash determined that a vehicle driven by Breaux had caused the crash. Investigating officers also discovered that Breaux was in possession of a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. Breaux was taken to the police department and held on $894 bail.
—George E. Patin Jr., 51, of Duke Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Friday for possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance-cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Patrolling officers detained a vehicle in regard to a traffic violation in the area of 11th Street. As officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle, they observed a passenger in the vehicle attempt to discard several objects. The officers retrieved the objects thrown and discovered that it was suspected crack cocaine, Crouch said. Officers seized the evidence and questioned the occupants and driver. As a result of the investigation, police learned that Patin had purchased the cocaine for distribution to other occupants of the vehicle, Crouch said. He was taken to the police department with no bail yet set.
—Stanley Paul Gregorieff, 51, of Second Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:11 p.m. Friday operating a vehicle while intoxicated and careless operation.
Officers received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle being driven in a reckless manner near Florence Street. Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle initially refused to stop for officers and continued to drive in a reckless manner. He was eventually detained after officers had to physically remove him from the vehicle as he attempted to leave in the vehicle. Gregorieff was given a field sobriety test in which he did poorly and tested .236 grams-percent blood alcohol content, Crouch said.
—Jolanda T. Johnson, 36, of Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:28 p.m. Friday on a warrant for failure to appear for simple battery.
While investigating a complaint of a theft, detectives came into contact with Johnson. Johnson was discovered to be wanted on an outstanding warrant from the 16th Judicial District Court. She was taken to the Morgan City Police Department where she remains in jail on $2,500 bail.
—Cotina La’na Batiste, 31, of Williams Street in Patterson, was arrested at 3:13 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for simple battery. Batiste was taken to the police department and held on $692 bail.
—Quincy James Johnson, 19, of Brownell Homes in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Saturday for possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance-synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Breyden J. Oncale, 21, of Onstead Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Saturday for possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance-synthetic marijuana second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Kristen Hull, 23, of Brownell Homes in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Saturday for possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance-synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment in Brownell Homes located on Wren Street in regards to suspected illegal drug activity. Officers arrived to investigate and came into contact with Johnson and Hull, the occupants of the apartment. Oncale was also located inside the apartment. During their investigation, officers located suspected synthetic marijuana and items of paraphernalia. They admitted to officers that they were using the synthetic marijuana prior to officers’ arrival, Crouch said. All three were taken to the police department and held.
—Jose Jonathan Serrano-Mendoza, 27, of Terrebonne Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated, careless operation and no driver’s license. Serrano-Mendoza failed a field sobriety test and tested .176 grams-percent on a blood alcohol test. Serrano-Mendoza was jailed.
—Brady Bray, 36, of Spruce Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. Sunday after appearing in an intoxicated condition at a Spruce Street apartment complex.
—Brad Michael Degg, 36, of Cross Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. Sunday for simple battery.
Officers received a complaint in regards to a person committing a battery on another at a La. 182 lounge. Officers arrived to investigate and were told that Degg had punched another subject after getting into a verbal altercation. Degg was jailed at the police department.
—Donald R. Graham, 42, of Federal Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:04 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for seat belt violation, a warrant for driving under suspension, and stop sign violation.
—Tammy R. Graham, 53, of Federal Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:04 a.m. Sunday for possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance-synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle.
Patrolling officers detained the driver of the vehicle after the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver of the vehicle, Donald Graham, was also found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was taken to the police department and held.
A passenger in the vehicle, Tammy Graham, was found to be in possession of several pouches containing suspected synthetic marijuana along with a glass pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. Tammy Graham, who was also in possession of an open container, was jailed at the police department.
—Ricky David Pillaro, 58, of First Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:27 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for driving under suspension, a warrant for expired or no inspection sticker and a warrant for no insurance.
—Rebecca B. Martin, 41, of Allison Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to pay probation fee, a warrant hold for Terrebonne Parish for careless operation, hit and run, and resisting an officer.
—Jahmarcus Lee Paddio, 17, of Freret Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:12 a.m. Sunday for domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace.
Officers were told Paddio had been in a verbal and physical confrontation inside a Freret Street residence and eventually committed a battery on a woman. While officers attempted to speak with Paddio, he became belligerent, continued to create a disturbance and was uncooperative, Crouch said.
—Ryan Thomas Morvant, 21, of Frances Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Sunday for no license plate light, possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance-marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
 A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle driven by Morvant near Everett Street and La. 182 after the vehicle was observed without necessary lighting. Morvant was found to possess a cellophane bag which contained suspected marijuana, Crouch said. He was also found to possess items of paraphernalia.
