Lee Dragna wishes to announce his decision to seek the office of mayor of Morgan City in the primary election on Nov. 6.

Dragna, 39, is a native of Morgan City and graduated from Morgan City High School. His grandfather, Matt Dragna and father, Andrea Dragna, owned and operated the Dragna’s Shell station in Morgan City for 50 years.

Dragna is the owner of several companies: LAD Salvage LLC, LAD Services of Louisiana LLC, LAD Investments LLC, and Gulp Oil Skimmers LLC. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and has been active in civic affairs

“My wife of 18 wonderful years, Christie Keller and I have two children: Allie, 18, and Andrea, 12.

I am a communicant of Holy Cross Church and a member of the Krewe of Adonis.

I am running for mayor because I believe we need new leadership and a new direction for our city. As someone who has successfully run a business in these challenging times, I believe I can bring a fresh approach to some of the issues we are facing. Morgan City has been good to my family. I am certain that my extensive business, vessel construction, vessel repair, salvage experience, and every day dealings with regulatory agencies like USCG, ABS, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, EPA, DEQ, parish and state governments makes me the right choice to be your next mayor. I would appreciate the opportunity to serve you and would appreciate your vote.”
