The 9th Annual Eagle Expo is being held through Saturday with events taking place in the Tri-City area. The coastal region and close proximity to the Atchafalaya Basin has made Morgan City the epicenter of the bald eagles recovery.

Eagle Expo celebration should remind us to take care of habitat

Though the event hails itself as the Eagle Expo, the ninth annual celebration this weekend (through Saturday) is really about birds in general.

The WINGS to SOAR program will be presented to the public at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Patterson Area Civic Center.
Private, parochial and home-schooled students will have the opportunity to attend a presentation at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Patterson Area Civic Center. WINGS to SOAR also will visit Franklin Junior High, Morgan City Junior High, Berwick Junior High and Patterson Junior High.
