Berwick volleyball scrimmages twice

Berwick High School’s volleyball team scrimmaged Terrebonne and South Lafourche Tuesday at Terrebonne.
The Lady Panthers split with Terrebonne, dropping the first game 25-21 before responding with a 25-13 win in the second contest.
Against South Lafourche, Berwick was victorious 25-15, 25-15.
In the Terrebonne contest, Ashton Morales led the Lady Panthers with two aces, three kills and four assists. Other top contributors included Hannah Carpenter had one ace, one kill and five digs, while Sydney Aucoin had three kills and two blocks.
Against South Lafourche, Morales led the Lady Panthers with four aces, five kills, seven assists and one dig, while Mary Jordan Melancon had five kills and four assists.
Other top contributors were Aucoin, two aces, three kills and one dig; and Carpenter, three kills and five digs.
Berwick will return to action Thursday when it participates in the Morgan City High School Volleyball Jamboree.
