CCHS finishes district with a perfect record

Central Catholic finished its District 7-1A season with a 12-0 mark following a 72-27 victory against Lafayette Christian in Morgan City Friday.
Central Catholic outscored Lafayette Christian in every quarter, taking a 14-5 lead after the first quarter, a 37-9 lead at halftime, and a 51-22 lead after three quarters.
Meo Knight recorded a double-double for the Lady Eagles with 26 points and 10 assists as well as eight steals and six rebounds. Teammate Randi Brown was right behind with 25 points, three blocks, five steals, eight assists and five rebounds.
Other top contributors included Megan Landry, eight points, six steals, one assist and two rebounds; Hallie Autin, six points, two steals and seven rebounds; Gee Garrett, four points, one block, one steal, one assist and four rebounds; and Mary-Beth Blanchard, three points.
Central Catholic now will await its seeding in the Class 1A postseason. Brackets are scheduled for release today.
Berwick falls to Donaldsonville
The Berwick Lady Panthers concluded their season with a 92-11 loss at Donaldsonville Friday.
Donaldsonville led 23-4 after the first quarter and 46-5 at halftime.
Mickenzie Reed and Kayla Francise each scored four for the Lady Panthers, while Brittany Boudreaux added three.
Patterson falls to E.D. White
The Patterson Lumberjills fell at home in their District 9-3A and season finale to E.D. White, 58-22.
