Gros, Wise earn top district honors

The Central Catholic volleyball team swept the top honors on the All-District 6-V volleyball team.
Central Catholic senior Kaitlyn Gros was named District Most Valuable Player, while coach Latashia Wise was named District Coach of the Year.
Gros played a key role as a setter on a team Wise guided to a district championship with a 6-0 mark this season.
The Lady Eagles had three first-team selections, two second-team choices and three honorable mention picks.
First-team choices were senior outside hitter Brittany Longman, sophomore libero Emma Aucoin and sophomore middle hitter Hallie Autin.
The Lady Eagles’ second-team selections were freshman outside hitter Quincee Wiggins and freshman defensive specialist Taylor Picou.
Honorable mention selections for Central Catholic were sophomore middle hitter Rebecca David, junior right side hitter Lindsee Case and seventh-grade defensive specialist Katie Hoffpauir.
