Hanson Tigers defeat LCA

LAFAYETTE _ Jeff Soulis rushed for 142 yards on 19 carries, leading the Hanson Memorial Tigers to a 32-28 District 7A victory over Lafayette Christian Academy Lions here Friday.
Hanson (4-1, 2-0) built up a 16-0 lead on a two scores in the first quarter.
Lafayette Christian rallied for 21 points in the second quarter for a 21-16 halftime advantage.
In the third quarter, Hanson scored nine points for a 25-21 cushion. Hanson recorded its second consecutive District 7A victory by a final score of 32-28 over Lafayette Christian.
Soulis led the Tigers in rushing with 19 carries for 142 yards for an average of 7.47 yards a carry. Beau LeBlanc ran four times for 78 yards for a 19.50 average. Trevor Adams carried five times for 28 yards for a 5.60 average.
On the night, the Tigers ran 32 times for 255 yards for a 7.97 yard average.
Hanson (4-1, 2-0) will play host to Central Catholic on Friday at McCloskey Field.
