Morgan City finished 2-3 at Episcopal tournament

Morgan City finished 2-3 this weekend at Episcopal of Baton Rouge’s tournament.
The Lady Tigers defeated Zachary and McKinley, but fell to University Lab, Dunham and Dutchtown.
Against Zachary, Morgan City won 2-1 (22-25, 26-24, 15-12).
Morgan City had eight solo blocks and three block assists.
Abby Reynaud and Sh’diamond Holly led Morgan City. Reynaud had one kill, 12 assists, one ace and two block assists, while Holly recorded six kills, three solo blocks and one block assist. Other top contributors included Karmen Peterson, five kills and five solo blocks; Mckenzi Smith, two kills and five digs; and Brandi Albarado, one ace and two digs.
Against University Lab, Morgan City fell 2-0 (25-15, 25-11).
Reynaud led Morgan City with one kill, eight assists and two digs. Other top contributors included Peterson had four kills; Holly, one kill, two solo blocks and one block assist; Smith, one ace and two digs; and Albarado, three digs.
Against Dutchtown, Morgan City fell 2-0 (25-17, 25-8).
Reynaud led Morgan City with one kill, nine assists, one ace and one dig. Other top contributors included Holly, four kills, one dig and two solo blocks; Peterson, three kills and one block assist; Albarado, one ace and three digs; and Hannah Gros, one ace and one dig.
Against McKinley, Morgan City won 2-0 (25-19, 25-22).
Reynaud and Peterson led Morgan City. Reynaud had three kills and 15 assists, while Peterson had eight kills. Other top contributors included Holly, six kills and one solo block; Katelyn Gautreaux, one ace and three digs; and Hallie Blanchard, two aces and one dig.
Against Dunham, Morgan City fell 2-1 (25-20, 16-25, 12-15).
Reynaud and Holly led Morgan City. Reynaud led Morgan City with two kills, 19 assists, one ace and one dig, while Holly recorded 11 kills and three solo blocks. Other top contributors included Smith, three kills and seven digs; Paige Loftin, five kills, one dig and two block assists; Gautreaux and Albarado, five digs apiece; Gros, one ace and two digs; and Blanchard, one ace and one dig.
Berwick finishes 1-4
at Spooktacular
The Berwick Lady Panthers finished 1-4 at Episcopal School of Acadiana’s annual Spooktacular tournament last week.
The Lady Panthers fell to St. Thomas More, Ascension Episcopal and Lafayette Christian Thursday.
After falling to St. Michael the Archangel Saturday, Berwick closed the tournament with a win against Rayne.
St. Thomas More is the top seed in Division II, while Ascension Episcopal is the No. 1 seed in Division V and St. Michael the Archangel is the No. 4 seed in Division III.
Against St. Thomas More, Berwick fell 2-0 (25-9, 25-18).
Mary Jordan Melancon and Brittany Roberie led Berwick. Melancon had two kills, three assists and five digs, while Roberie contributed one kill and 13 digs. Other top contributors included Sydney Aucoin, three kills and three digs; and Abbie Dugas, five assists and one dig.
Against Ascension Episcopal, Berwick fell 2-0 (25-10, 25-18).

Against Rayne, Berwick won 2-0 (25-14, 25-13).
