Patterson Lumberjills fall to E.D. White

Staff Report
PATTERSON — The Patterson Lumberjills fell to E.D. White, 50-36, in District 9-3A girls’ basketball action Tuesday.
No individual statistics were available from the contest.
Patterson (14-9 overall, 2-2 in district) will continue District 9-3A play Friday when it travels to face Berwick in a 6 p.m. contest.

Morgan City tops
Vandebilt Catholic
The Morgan City Lady Tigers knocked off Vandebilt Catholic in Houma, 50-45, in District 7-4A action Tuesday.
The win enabled the Lady Tigers to split the season series with Vandebilt Catholic, who had defeated Morgan City 45-32 in Morgan City earlier this month.
In Tuesday’s win, Casey Chenevert led Morgan City with 28 points, while Laqwaijha Bourgeois also reached double digits with 12 points.
Other scorers for the Lady Tigers included Meya Morse with six points and Elicia Dorsey and Steveyion Walker with two points each.
Morgan City (10-8 overall, 3-2 in district) will return to action Friday when it hosts Assumption in District 7-4A action.

Berwick falls
to Donaldsonville
The Berwick Lady Panthers fell to Donaldsonville 70-4 in nondistrict girls’ basketball action Tuesday in Donaldsonville.
Kaloni James scored Berwick’s four points.
The Lady Panthers (0-14, 0-3) will return to action Friday when it hosts Patterson in District 9-3A action.

Central Catholic
falls to Gueydan
The Central Catholic Lady Eagles dropped a 50-14 contest at Gueydan Tuesday in District 7-1A action.
Gueydan led 13-4 after the first quarter and extended its lead to 27-12 at the half.
The home standing squad outscored Central Catholic to two second-half points, while putting up 26 points.
Sydney Williams and Hallie Autin each had six points for Central Catholic, while Taylor Picou scored two points.
The Lady Eagles (4-17, 1-6) will return to action Friday when they travel to New Iberia to take on Highland Baptist in District 7-1A play.
