Taylor is District 9-3A Coach of the Year

Staff Report

Patterson High School’s Ryan Taylor was named district Coach of the Year and two Lumberjacks were named to the first team, highlighting the area’s All-District 9-3A boys’ basketball selections.
Taylor led the Lumberjacks to a district championship with a 7-1 mark.
Senior Daylon Charlot and junior Taylon Grogan were the Lumberjacks’ first-team selections.
Donaldsonville’s Braxton Bernard picked up the other individual district honor as the district’s Most Valuable Player.
Local selections on the second team were Patterson juniors DJ Jones and Mykel Jones and Berwick freshman Kenan Jones.
Honorable mention picks for Berwick were Audwin Williams and Donald Tillman, while Patterson’s Nehemiah Augustus, Kenneth Washington and Malik Garrett each were honorable mention choices, too.
