Patterson fell 2-1 to Westgate in high school softball action on the road Monday.
Despite taking the loss, Patterson’s Taylor Hall surrendered just two hits, two unearned runs, walked two and fanned 14.
Tapanga Haven led Patterson with a 1-for-2 performance with a triple and an RBI.
Patterson (6-12 overall, 1-2 in district) will return to action today when they host Franklin in District 9-3A action set for a 4 p.m. start.
Berwick falls to
Vandebilt Catholic
Berwick was limited to four hits in an 8-1 loss to Vandebilt Catholic in Houma Tuesday.
While the Lady Panthers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Vandebilt came back with three runs in the bottom of the third and five more in the bottom of the sixth inning for the final.
Vandebilt outhit Berwick 10-4, while the Lady Panthers committed three errors.
Jordan Lipari suffered the loss for the Lady Panthers.
Offensively, Caroline Osburn led Berwick with a hit and an RBI.
Berwick (12-14) will return to action today when it hosts E.D. White for the District 9-3A title. Both teams enter today’s contest with 3-0 marks. The game will begin at 4 p.m.
