Sampeys celebrate 50th anniversary on Sept. 21

Reginald and Deanna Sampey celebrated 50 years of marriage Sept. 21 with a reception at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City. Monsignor Douglas Courville of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick officiated the blessing of the couple’s vows.
For the occasion, tables were decorated with various-size candles set on mirrored plates adorned with rose petals.
The couple, life-long residents of Berwick, was married Sept. 21, 1963, at St. Stephen Catholic Church. They are the parents of Blair J. Sampey and Amber Terrebonne, both of Berwick, and they have four grandchildren.
Deanna Sampey is a retired dental assistant from the office of Dr. George Broussard. Reginald Sampey is retired from Swiftships.
