Blankenship in scholarship program in B.R.

Brenna Blankenship, daughter of Melissa Bonnette of Morgan City and Buddy Blankenship of Patterson, has been selected as a finalist in the Pre-Teen Louisiana Scholarship and Recognition Program being held Friday through Sunday in Baton Rouge.
Pre-Teen Louisiana is a by-invitation only event involving girls 7 to 12 years of age based on their school academic records, awards, honors won or participation in outside activities. Additionally, invitations are extended to those that have been recognized publicly for outstanding personal achievements, volunteer services, school involvement, leadership abilities and creative talents.
Finalists will be evaluated on academic achievement, volunteer service to church and community, school honors and activities, development of personal skills and abilities, general knowledge, communicative ability and on-stage acknowledgement of accomplishments.
Pre-Teen Louisiana will award more than $5,000 in educational bonds, prizes and awards.
Helping to sponsor Blankenship is Anytime Fitness in Donaldsonville, Progress Machine, Southern Roots Salon and Spa, and a host of family and friends.
