Jump Start to Head Start program is Aug. 19

The St. Mary Parish Library Program — Jump Start to Head Start — will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Patterson Branch Library.
Students who will be attending school for the first time are invited for a special program celebrating their entrance into school. The program will include stories, games, songs and movements emphasizing counting, colors and the alphabet to jumpstart their school experience.
Participants also receive a special packet to take home so parents can continue the learning process before and after their child enters the classroom.
Registration for this free program preferred, but not required.
The Patterson Branch Library is located at 521 Catherine St. and is open to the public.
