High wind causes power outages

Morgan City workers at Onstead and Sixth streets were repairing an electrical jumper wire that came loose at about 1:30 p.m. Monday because of high winds, Utilities Director Bill Cefalu said. The incident caused power outages from Federal Avenue to Sixth Street and from Onstead Street to Brashear Avenue. Workers restored power in about an hour, Cefalu said.
