MTT expands with lease of West Mary Port facility

MTT Properties LLC has signed a lease for a new facility at the Port of West St. Mary.
The building is 43,000 square feet and is located immediately adjacent to MTT’s current facility.
The additional space will allow MTT to expand its operations at the port and will allow MTT the ability to construct turbine generators and warehousing.
MTT specializes in the production and packaging of turbine engines in unique applications, including oil field fracturing and power generation equipment. MTT employs 75 of the world’s most experienced fabricators and turbine engine experts. MTT plans to add an additional 15-20 employees in various construction, assembly, warehouse and inventory roles operating out of the new facility.
MTT is operated by Ted McIntyre II, chief executive officer and president. Having completed more diverse, custom turbine engine installations than any other company in the world, MTT utilizes the most current production technology.
The new facility will allow MTT to be more efficient and competitive, McIntyre said. The ability to construct turbine equipment in this new facility under a roof will minimize the effects of weather on schedules as well as reduce the impact of extreme weather conditions on employees.
David Allain, executive director of the Port of West St. Mary said he and the port commission are excited to embark on this new venture with MTT. Allain said the cutting edge technology that MTT possesses is unique and one of a kind.
“We are proud to have MTT in our port facility. The Port of West St. Mary is committed to help MTT and other tenants at our port facilities to develop job opportunities for our local residents,” Allain said.
Calvin Deshotel, commission president, said “the commission is very proud to have MTT at the Port of West St. Mary and is looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”
