KRISTI KAY COLGIN

March 29, 1966-September 17, 2016
Kristi Kay Colgin, 50, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 29, 1966, in Morgan City, the daughter of Dickie James Colgin and Elizabeth Pennison Colgin.
Kristi was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She served the Lord in many ways. She was a Lay Carmelite and was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea. She was also a Eucharistic Minister. Kristi was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her mother, Elizabeth Pennison Colgin of Morgan City; daughter, Megan Dubois and husband James of Patterson; brothers, Danny Colgin and companion Donna Arabie of Labadieville, Clay Colgin and wife Dana of Youngsville, and Clint Colgin and wife Nicole of Morgan City; sister, Lisa Lallande and husband Darryl of Mandeville; the joys of her life, her grandchildren, Makenzy, Joseph, and one baby on the way; and numerous extended family members.
Kristi was preceded in death by her father, Dickie James Colgin; paternal grandparents, Howard Joseph Colgin and Enola Barrilleaux Colgin; maternal grandparents, Daniel Adam Pennison and Elma Landry Pennison; and paternal great-grandmother, Anaise Barrilleaux.
Visitation services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home with the Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Visitation services will resume at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. Kristi will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
