Letha P. Barard

Letha P. Barard, 96, a native of Verdunville and a resident of Morgan City, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at her residence.
Visitation will be observed Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City from 8 to 10 a.m., with a rosary being recited at 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery (St. Anthony Society) in Morgan City.
Survivors include her son, Kevin O. Barard, of Lafayette; her six daughters, Barbara Queen, of Thibodaux, Carolyn Phillips, Shirley O’Brien and Lucretia Poplus, all of Morgan City, Iris Notto, of Lafayette, and Mary Braud, of Kentucky; one brother, Edward Paul Jr., of Franklin; two sisters, Lucretia LaVigne, of Oakland, California, and Hazel Poplus, of Kenner; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son.
