A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton for Rita Faucheaux Hebert Echols. She will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Hebert, Joshua Hebert, John Naquin, Pat Hebert, Randy Guillot and Ronnie Ruskoski, with Hunter Naquin as honorary pallbearer. Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services.
Mrs. Rita was a native of Loreauville, a former longtime resident of Franklin, and was a resident of Baton Rouge for the past six years. She passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at 8:20 p.m., at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 88. Many will remember her from her many years spent working at National Food Store in Franklin. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going out dancing, and supporting her grandchildren at sporting events.
Survivors include one son, Ronald “Goose” Hebert and his wife, Wendy, of Baton Rouge (formerly of Franklin); four grandchildren, Monette Naquin, Jason Hebert, Rachelle Outlaw and Joshua Hebert; six great grandchildren, Emily, Ellie, Isabella, Hunter, Matty and Malikai; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Keith G. Hebert; her parents, George and Celina Dugas Faucheaux; three sisters, Clara Guillot, Odette Hebert and Mae Guillotte; three brothers, Louis Faucheaux Sr., Henry Faucheaux and Roy Faucheaux; and her second husband, Henry “Sonny” Echols.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Family and friends may view the obituary and express their condolences online by visiting www.iberts.com.
