E.D. White tops Tigers, 2-0

The Morgan City Tigers fell to E.D. White, 2-0 in District 6-III high school boys’ soccer action at Tiger Stadium in Morgan City Wednesday.
E.D. White, ranked No. 5 in the latest Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division III power rankings, scored both goals in the first half.
“We had chances to score several times but just couldn’t capitalize,” Morgan City coach Trevor Patterson said.
The Tigers (7-12-2 overall, 2-5 in district) (7-12-2 overall, 2-5 in district) will return to action tonight when they host Lutcher, Division III’s 10th-ranked squad, in a 6:45 p.m. contest.
E.D. White tops Lady Tigers
In girls’ action, E.D. White topped Morgan City, 7-0, in District 6-III high school girls’ soccer action.
E.D. White took a 3-0 lead at the half and added four more goals in the second half.
Morgan City coach Trevor Patterson said his team had a better first half than in the first game against E.D. White, ranked, No. 7 in the latest Division III power rankings.
Morgan City (2-14, 2-5) will continue district play at home tonight when they host Lutcher in a 5 p.m. contest.
