NFL Draft: Texans pick Hilliard in 7th round

Former Patterson High and LSU running back Kenny Hilliard was selected by the Houston Texans in the seventh round of the NFL Draft Saturday, according to NFL.com.
The Texans used the 235th pick of the draft to select Hilliard, according to the website. Hilliard was projected to be a seventh round pick, his NFL Draft bio says.
Hilliard, who graduated in December 2010 from Patterson High, finished his high school career as Louisiana’s all-time rushing leader with 8,603 yards and 106 touchdowns, according to an article in The Daily Review earlier this week. Hilliard graduated from LSU in December 2014, and finished his college career with 302 rushing attempts for 1,557 yards and 27 touchdowns, the article stated.
Hilliard's uncle Dalton Hilliard was a running back for the New Orleans, and his cousin Ike Hilliard also played in the NFL, the article said.
