Area 10-, 12-year-old all-star teams begin district Thursday

Tri-City area 10-year-old and 12-year-old Dixie Youth all-star teams will begin district tournament action Thursday at Caffery Park in Franklin.
In both 10-year-old action at the District 3 AAA Tournament and 12-year-old action at the District 3 Major Tournament, Morgan City, St. Mary Central and Patterson will be represented.
Both tournaments will continue through Monday.
In the 10-year-old bracket, action will begin Thursday at 5:30 p.m. when Patterson faces Franklin, while at 7:30 p.m., Morgan City will meet St. Mary Central.
On Friday, Patterson will play Thibodaux at 5:30 p.m., followed by Franklin and St. Mary Central at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule includes St. Mary Central facing Thibodaux at 2 p.m. and Franklin and Morgan City meeting at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, Morgan City will play Thibodaux at 2 p.m. and Patterson and St. Mary Central will meet at 4 p.m.
The 10-year-old tournament will conclude Monday when Patterson faces Morgan City at 5:30 p.m., and Franklin will play Thibodaux at 7:30 p.m.
In 12-year-old action, play will begin Thursday when Morgan City faces Patterson at 5:30 p.m., followed by St. Mary Central facing Franklin at 7:30 p.m.
On Friday, Morgan City will meet Thibodaux at 5:30 p.m., followed by Patterson facing Franklin at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s slate includes Franklin facing Thibodaux at 2 p.m. and Patterson meeting St. Mary Central at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, St. Mary Central will meet Thibodaux at 2 p.m. and Morgan City will play Franklin at 4 p.m.
On Monday, Morgan City will play St. Mary Central at 5:30 p.m. and Patterson will meet Thibodaux at 7:30 p.m.
