Berwick Junior High sweeps team titles at its Junior Panther Relays

Berwick Junior High swept the team titles at its Panther Relays March 15.
The Panthers won the boys title with 203 points, easily topping second place Patterson junior High, who scored 110 points.
On the girls side, the Lady Panthers scored 171 points, topping second place B.E. Boudreaux, who had 74 points, by nearly 100 points.
On the boys side, the Field MVP was Berwick’s Isiah Williams, while the Track Co-MVPs are Berwick’s Keyon Singleton and Darnell Lockett of B.E. Boudreaux.
Williams finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 28 feet, four inches and first in the high jump with a mark of 5 feet.
Singleton placed first in the 400-meter dash in 58.38 and first in the 200-meter dash in 25.49.
Lockett was first in the 100-meter dash in 11.92 and second in the 200-meter dash in 25.72.
On the girls side, Breanna Butler of Patterson Junior High was the field MVP, while Berwick Junior High’s Kaylee Percle and Arianna Jones were the Track MVPs.
Butler finished first in the long jump with a leap of 11 feet, 7.25 inches and first in the high jump with a mark of 4 feet, 6 inches.
Percle was first in the 800-meter run in 2:56 and first in the 1,600-meter run in 6:50.
Jones was first in the 400-meter dash in 1:09.10 and first in the 200-meter dash in 30.62.
