Harahan "Spring Fling" held Saturday

Class A: first place, Tim Gilmore, Bayou Vista, 5-1, 57.5; second place, Dudley Michel, Bayou Vista, 4-2, 52.0; third place, Pat Pertuit, Marrero, 3-2 48.0.
Gilmore defeated Michel in a 40-shoe playoff game after being tied in regulation and claimed the tournament championship.
Class B: first, Burnie Williams, Morgan City, 5-0, 31.5; second, Bobbie Richard, Church Point, 3-2, 27.5; third, Wanda Lantz, Harahan, 3-2, 35.5.
Class C: first, Dwain Arceneaux, Thibodeaux, 4-1, 37.5; second, Larry Pertuit, Marrero, 3-2, 24.5; third, Tim Hayles, Berwick, 3-2, 21.0.
Class D: first, Gil Gerard, Kenner, 4½-1½, 20.0; second, Ron Smith, Lake Charles, 3½-2½, 19.0; third, Tracy Verret, Bayou Vista, 3-2, 20.0.
Gerard defeated Smith in a 40-shoe playoff game to claim the class championship.
Class E: first, Mike Fonseca, Harahan, 5-1, 15.5; second, Chris Rogers, Morgan City, 4-2, 27.5; third, Hilton Rhodes, Bayou Vista, 4-2, 15.0.
After being tied in regulation, Fonseca defeated Rogers in a 40-shoe playoff game to claim the class championship.
