Patterson 10U All-Star game in a delay

Staff Report

The Patterson 10U All-Star’s game with Audubon All-Stars in Palm City, Florida, has been delayed for multiple reasons, chiefly due to rain.
While Patterson was to play at 3:30 p.m., EDT., that start time already was going to be pushed back because an 8U World Series game needed to be played on the field at Justin Wilson Park beforehand.
However, before that 8U game even could be played, a rain shower saturated the field and put the game in a rain delay, trying to resume it at 5 p.m.
Because games are limited to an hour and 15 minutes and factoring in warm-up times between, Patterson likely wouldn’t start its game until maybe 6:45 p.m.
However, rain also is projected for 6 p.m.
The Patterson-Audubon game is an elimination contest in the World Series bracket. The tournament will conclude Wednesday.
