On Jan. 20, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the 300 block of Carol Road in Bayou Vista. During the subsequent investigation, a detective collected evidence that Tereza Foster and Kara Foster engaged in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation outside of the home between three other suspects, Nicole Tabor, Korianne Parker and Jaclyn Fields.

The detective also found evidence that Tabor and Parker exchanged words via Facebook about fighting. During the fight, a male suspect, John Buck Jr., intervened. Another male suspect, Jody Foster, then retrieved a gun and fired the weapon at Buck, striking him in the leg.

Through investigation, the detective found evidence that Jody Foster fired the weapon in a reckless manner. Warrants were issued. Jody Foster and Tereza Foster were located at their home on the warrants and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.

Kara Foster turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after learning of the warrant for her arrest. Jody Foster was released on $5,000 bail. Tereza Foster was released on $700 bail. No bail is set for Kara Foster.

The first arrest in the case, Buck, 30, of Ricohoc, turned himself in Jan. 23 to St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives in Terrebonne Parish on the charges of second-degree battery, home invasion, simple battery and disturbing the peace.

Buck fled the home on foot after he was shot. Buck allegedly committed batteries against two women during the altercation. One of the victims was treated at Teche Regional Medical Center after suffering a broken nose and possible bruised ribs, Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Detective Lt. Traci Landry said.

Another suspect in the incident, Tabor, 29, of Thibodaux, was booked Jan. 26 on a warrant charging her with simple battery.

During the investigation into the Jan. 20 disturbance on Carol Road, detectives collected evidence that a second suspect, identified as Tabor, went to the home and engaged in a fight with a woman. Detectives obtained a warrant for her arrest on the charge of simple battery.

Fields, 31, of Patterson, was also arrested Monday in the same incident on the charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace fighting.
A detective collected evidence that Fields engaged in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation outside of the home.
