In a battle of two semifinalists from a year ago, Morgan City got the best of Ellender in a close 16-11 win to open the high school bowling season Wednesday at Bowl South in Houma.

The Lady Panthers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-10) win against Ellender on the road Tuesday. Roberie had one ace and 30 digs in the win.
