Area teams to participate in Tournament of the Teche

Each Tri-City area girls basketball team and one of the four boys’ teams will be competing in Centerville’s annual Tournament of the Teche, beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturday.
Girls’ squads from Morgan City, Berwick, Patterson and Central Catholic will be joined by Morgan City’s boys.
Girls’ action will be played in Centerville’s junior high gym Thursday and Friday and in the high school gym Saturday. All boys’ games during the three-day event will be played in the high school gym.
On the girls’ side, area ac-tion will begin Thursday with Morgan City facing Hanson at 3:30 p.m., followed by Central Catholic meeting Berwick at 5 p.m.
At 8 p.m. Thursday, Teurlings and Patterson will meet.
Friday, Morgan City will play Teurlings at 4:30 p.m., while H.L. Bourgeois will meet Patterson at 6 p.m. The girls’ action will conclude with Berwick meeting Hanson at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Morgan City and Patterson will play at 9 a.m., while at noon, Central Catholic and H.L. Bourgeois will meet. Berwick and Centerville will play in a 4:30 p.m. contest to conclude the action.
On the boys’ side, local action Thursday includes Morgan City meeting Franklin at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, E.D. White will face Morgan City at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, Morgan City will face Jeanerette at 3 p.m.
