CCHS records top 8 finish in team scoring at swim meet

Central Catholic High School recorded top 8 team finishes in the Southwest Acadiana Swim League High School’s Class 1A and 2A district meet Tuesday.
The Eagles finished fifth with 90 points, while the Lady Eagles finished eighth with 11 points. Central Catholic finished seventh in combined team scoring with 101 points.
Ascension Episcopal won the girls’ team title with 438 points, while Episcopal School of Acadiana took the boys’ title with 391 points.
Ascension Episcopal took the team title with 735 points.

200 yard freestyle: 13, Caroline Nini, 3:06.56.
50 yard freestyle: 13, Emma Thomas, 34.27; 23, Caroline Nini, 38.92; 26, Paige Thomas, 40.18.

100 yard breaststroke: 14, Emma Thomas, 1:50.07.
