Davis-Jensen wed at St. Louis Cathedral

Katie Nicole Davis and Tyler Mathew Jensen were united in matrimony June 28 during a 7 p.m. double-ring ceremony at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. The Rev. Jay Baker officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Lloyd and Prissy Davis of Berwick. The groom is the son of Robert and Phyllis Jensen of Berwick.
Music for the ceremony was by organist Jesse Reeks and vocalist Nicole Chauvin.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride wore her mother’s ivory chiffon wedding gown fashioned with a Victorian neckline trimmed in Venise lace. The bodice featured a ruffled yoke with diamond-cut edges and an ivory-satin sash at the waist. Matching lace and diamond-cut edges highlighted the hemline.
Completing the look was a custom headpiece that combined lace from her mother’s wedding hat with new lace. Ivory Russian tulle and crystals sprinkled throughout finished the headpiece.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet featuring antique lace from her mother’s hat and veil. The bouquet consisted of idol yellow roses, sun gold tea roses and light green stock accented with solidago, baby’s breath and buplerum.
Lauren Blanco was her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a full-length dress of buttercup lux chiffon designed with draped sleeves and a matching satin belt at the waist.
She carried a free-form, hand-tied bouquet of white stock, sun gold tea roses, yellow dianthus and fever-few daisies accented with craspedia, baby’s breath and buplerum.
Bridesmaids, attired identically to the matron of honor, were Lindsay Davis, sister of the bride, Catherine Loupe, Colleen Beattie, Brittani Boudreaux and Hayley Opiela. They also had bouquets matching the matron of honor’s bouquet.
Junior bridesmaid Emily Jensen, niece of the groom, wore a dress of buttercup lux chiffon fashioned with a shirred bodice, full skirt, a flat-bow detail at the shoulder straps and matching sash at the waist. She carried a smaller version of the bridesmaids’ bouquets.
Flower girl Lainey Blanco, niece of the bride, was attired in an antique white “wedding dance” frock with layers of vintage tea-satin lace on the bodice and sleeve hem, and gathered lace rose. Her sash was in ivory satin. A wreath of baby’s breath accented with a satin ribbon adorned her head.
She carried a wicker basket of sun gold tea roses accented with baby’s breath.
Ringbearer was Owen Johnson, cousin of the groom.
Ryan Jensen was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Paul Johnson, cousin of the groom, Gregory Baker, Matt Felps, David Burch, Eric Matte and Coby Minton. They wore boutonnieres of craspedia accented with baby’s breath.
Ushers were Cody Blanco, Jamarr Garrett and Joey Jensen.
A reception followed in the Napoleon Ballroom at the Hilton Riverside Hotel in New Orleans.
The wedding cake was a four-tiered ivory confection decorated with uneven lines and topped with Polaroid pictures of the bride and groom.
Following the vintage theme, decorations were in the natural color palette with hints of blue and yellow. Decorations included bird cages, lace and personalized prints. Personalized details ranged from toasting glasses to pecan pie.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Ralph & Kacoos in New Orleans.
