Patterson advances to Class 3A quarterfinals

No. 7 Patterson High School advanced to the Class 3A quarterfinals with a 21-6 victory against No. 10 seed Loranger Friday in Patterson.
The Lumberjacks (9-3) now will travel to face No. 15 seed North Webster next Friday. North Webster upset No. 2 seed Church Point 21-16 in other second-round Class 3A action Friday.
In Division IV (Class 1A select) quarterfinal action, No. 3 seed Central Catholic (9-3) was eliminated by No. 6 seed Ouachita Christian, 38-0, Friday in Morgan City.
