St. Mary Parish School Board honors

Lane Larive, assistant principal and former teacher at Berwick Junior High, and Michele Besse, teacher at Bayou Vista Elementary, were recognized as the St. Mary Parish School Board teachers of the year. The award was announced at the School Board’s monthly meeting. Ava Alexander, second-grader at M.D. Shannon Elementary, was named the St. Mary Parish School Board student of the month for September. Charlene Patereau, secretary at M.D. Shannon Elementary, and Lane Larive, assistant principal at Berwick Junior High, were named the St. Mary Parish School Board employees of the month for September.
