Morgan City 11s to begin state tourney Friday at ULM

The Morgan City 11-year-old All-Stars will begin play in the Louisiana Dixie Youth Majors State Tournament Friday at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

The Morgan City 11-year-old All-Stars won the District 3 title Saturday with a 21-16 victory against Thibodaux. While Morgan City had lost the first game in the best-of-three series, they came back with two straight wins to clinch the title and advance to the state tournament in Monroe this coming weekend. The Morgan City 11-year-old All-Stars rebounded from a rough start two win back-to-back games en route to a district championship at the District 3 Tournament at Peltier Park in Thibodaux Saturday.
