Miller-Oubre wed in March 15 nuptials

Jenna Miller and Alex Oubre were joined in holy matrimony during a 6 p.m. double-ring ceremony March 15 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick. Monsignor J. Douglas Courville officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Leah and Steven Miller of Berwick. The groom is the son of Tanya and George Oubre Jr. of Morgan City.
For the occasion, the altar held candelabra that the bride’s great-great-aunt, Leah Stansbury, donated to the church. The aisle was lined with candles with tall lanterns placed at the end of the aisle.
Music was by organist Lee Leblanc and vocalist Kristen Wiggins.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a strapless mermaid gown designed of satin overlaid with corded lace. The deep-sweetheart neckline was trimmed in a hand-beaded jewel motif. The train was chapel length. Complementing her gown were covered buttons, from her mother’s wedding dress, that flowed down the back of the gown.
Her veil was elbow length.
She carried a bouquet of pale pink and white English roses embellished with broaches, gifts from the groom’s godmother, Lynn Delatte; a rosary, a gift from Kayla Albert; and a memory charm of her great-grandparents, the late Opal and Chester Guidroz.
Lauren Miller was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kayla Albert, Erin Billeaud, Cassie Guillot and Brynn Guillot.
Bridal attendants each wore a floor-length gown of latte chiffon. They carried bouquets of pink and white roses.
Thomas Dolci was best man. Groomsmen were T.J. Oubre, Mark Blanchard II, Asa Isham and Joshua Miller.
Ushers were Michael Broussard and Drew Oubre.
A reception followed at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium.
The bride’s cake was a four-tiered white confection adorned with piping. Backdrop for the bride’s table was “rustic shabby-chic” doors.
The groom’s cake depicted an LSU football field.
Both cakes were made by Erin Billeaud, as a gift to the couple.
Table centerpieces were lanterns and peach blossom arrangements.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and reside in Morgan City.
