Central Catholic will travel to face Ascension Catholic today

Central Catholic and Ascension Catholic high schools have met once on the volleyball season this year in the first game of the year in a three-game sweep for the Donaldsonville-based school.

Central Catholic High School won its first-round playoff game against West St. John Wednesday 3-0 (25-23, 25-7, 25-19) in first-round Division V volleyball playoff action. The win was the Lady Eagles’ third against West St. John as Central Catholic swept the regular season matchup with their district foes. Central Catholic will return to action Monday at 6 p.m. in the second round action when it faces Ascension Catholic, who received a first-round bye.
