Lady Eagles fall to Lafayette Christian

The Central Catholic Lady Eagles fell at home to Lafayette Christian, 39-20, in District 7-1A action Monday.
Hallie Autin led the Lady Eagles with 11 points.

Central Catholic High School Student of the Month Award is designed to distinguish one outstanding junior high school student and one high school student. The award is an opportunity to recognize students who have demonstrated excellent leadership ability and motivation. This month, Central Catholic High School has awarded seventh-grader Madeline Nini and senior Chelsea Andras for the honor. Physics and Chemistry II teacher Burt Adams, was also recognized as Inspirational Faculty Member of the month.

Kaplan edges Morgan City

Kaplan used a big fourth quarter to rally past Morgan City, 35-32.
Trailing 28-22 entering the fourth, Kaplan outscored Morgan City 13-4 in the final period to secure the win.
