SMC tops MC for district championship

St. Mary Central 12-year-old All-Stars rallied to beat a scrappy Morgan City squad 8-6 in the winner-take-all District 3 championship game Monday.

St. Mary Central, Patterson and Morgan City all were in action this weekend at the District 3 12-year-old Tournament in Bayou Vista. St. Mary Central finished 2-0 to advance to today’s title game where it will face Morgan City at 5 p.m. Morgan City finished the weekend 2-1, while Patterson was 1-2. St. Mary Central, MC to meet in 12s title game

The St. Mary Central 12-year-old All-Stars finished its weekend undefeated with two dominant wins by a combined score of 25-3 to advance to today’s championship game.
