Morgan City AA All-Stars qualify for state

Morgan City’s AA (7- and 8-year-old) All-Stars advanced to the state tournament in West Monroe after finishing as district runner-up at the District 3 Tournament in Franklin Saturday.

Central Catholic will begin play in the state tournament Thursday against No. 5 seed Academy of Sacred Heart Grand Coteau at 10:50 a.m. The Lady Eagles, the No. 4 seed, enter the state tournament for the fourth consecutive year. They have fallen in the state semifinals the last three years and the prior year, the state quarterfinals.
