Top-ranked LSU, the 2015 SEC regular-season champion, plays its first game in the SEC Tournament at 4:30 p.m. today when the Tigers meet Auburn at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
Jarell Martin and LSU peppered Auburn with dunks and layups, then added a barrage of three-point bursts when the game got tight.
The result: A heavy dose of payback.
Alabama’s Breanna Hayden and Auburn’s Hasina Muhammad were suspended for two games each for fighting during a game.
A last-second block from Alabama’s Khadijah Carter helped secure the 51-50 victory for the Alabama women’s basketball team against in-state rival Auburn Thursday night at Foster Auditorium.
