Darnall, Sikes, Gardes and Frederick offers first scholarship for masters of accounting program

Darnall, Sikes, Gardes & Frederick recently made a scholarship gift to the B.I. Moody College of Business to be awarded to a master of accounting candidate this fall.
The firm states, “We have been actively involved in the college’s internship program for several years. We are proud to be the first firm to offer a scholarship in the masters of accounting program.”
Darnall, Sikes, Gardes and Frederick, established in 1950, has offices in Lafayette, Eunice, Morgan City and Abbeville. With more than 100 employees, it is one of the largest accounting firms in Southwest Louisiana.
“We are very thankful for the support of our new program. There has long been a need for this type of degree in our area to better prepare accountants for the CPA exam and their professional future,” said Pam Meyer, graduate coordinator for the new masters of accounting program. “This gift of scholarship demonstrates that firms are aware of the need and are supportive of our program.”
