Staff Report PATTERSON — The 19th annual Wedell-Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill Christmas Tree Festival Open House was held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Winners of a tree-decorating contest were announced during the event at the Louisiana State Museum in Patterson. Decorated trees and sponsors were entered by Hattie Watts Third Grade, Christy LeBlanc; Berwick Cub Scout Pack 12, Jackie Nell; SCL – Young Memorial, Tammie Moore; Bayou Vista Elementary Fourth- and Fifth-grades, Heather Crappel; St. Mary Talented Artist Students, Becky Bergeron; Julia B. Maitland Principal’s List, Patsy Harrington; Maison Jardin, Jackie Bunner; St. Mary Chamber of Commerce, Lisa Patterson; Immanuel Christian School First Grade, Mandy Guillory; Berwick Brownie Troop 20182, Raechelle Gonzales; and St. John Elementary Fourth Grade, Rachael Ancona. The winners and their prizes were Berwick Cub Scouts Pack 12, first place, $100 Walmart gift certificate; Julia B. Matiland Principal’s List, second place, $50 Walmart gift certificate; and St. Mary Talented Artist Students, third place, $25 Walmart gift certificate.
