Anderson, Arkansas-Pine Bluff top Grambling 45-42

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) — Benjamin Anderson scored three of his five touchdowns in the final quarter as Arkansas-Pine Bluff came back to beat Grambling 45-42 on Saturday.

Dwight Amphy's 85-yard blocked field goal return for a touchdown with 4:58 left in the third quarter gave Grambling (1-10, 1-7 Southwestern Athletic Conference) a 31-24 lead going into the fourth.

Anderson connected with Cody Swain on a 14-yard touchdown pass just 55 seconds into the final frame to tie the game and, following a Grambling field goal, Anderson threw his fourth touchdown pass of the night, this one to Erick Thomas from 4 yards out.

Leading 38-34, Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-7, 2-5) forced a three-and-out from the Tigers offense before the Golden Lions scored on a six play, 55-yard drive, on which Anderson rushed for 41 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown.

Jonathan Williams had 359 total yards and three touchdowns for Grambling.
