Boise State beats host New Orleans 100-80

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Anthony Drmic and Derrick Marks scored 24 points apiece as Boise State beat New Orleans 100-80 on Saturday.

Drmic went over the 1,000 career points mark to become the 23rd Boise State player to reach the plateau. Boise State (4-0) had five players in double figures. Jeff Elorriaga added 18 points — all from 3-point range. The Broncos made 51.6 percent of their shots and made 10 3-pointers.

New Orleans (1-2) got 23 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks from Cory Dixon and 17 points from Matt Derenbecker. The Privateers were coming off a loss to LSU, which they trailed by just four points at halftime.

Boise State scored the first eight points of the game, pushed the lead to 24-5 after 9 minutes and held a 52-28 halftime advantage.
