Louisiana Tech crushes Longwood 126-52

RUSTON (AP) — Kenyon McNeail scored 21 points as Louisiana Tech crushed Longwood 126-52 on Saturday.

McNeail went 5 of 10 from beyond the arc, and the Bulldogs (12-3) made 17 of 35 (49 percent) as a team, as they hit the century mark for the fifth time this season. The 126 points was a single-game school record, topping the 123 scored against Southern Miss in 1972.

Raheem Appleby had 18 points, Alex Hamilton chipped in with 14 points and 12 boards while Chris Anderson, Kenneth Smith, Jaron Johnson and Cordarius Johnson all had 13 points.

Longwood (5-10) got 14 points from Karl Zeigler and Jeylani Dublin had 13. The Lancers went 6:33 without a basket in the first half as LaTech built a 30-point halftime lead at 58-28.

Louisiana Tech didn't pull back after the intermission, running up 68 points on 23 of 44 shooting, including 10 of 22 on 3-pointers.
