Robinson places first in high jump at LSU event

Southeastern Louisiana University senior Kendall Robinson won the high jump at the LSU Bayou Bengal Invitational Saturday.
Robinson, a Central Catholic High alum, jumped 6-feet, 8-inches to win the event.
Earlier this month in his first meet of the season, Robinson leaped 6-feet, 8-inches for a fourth-place finish at LSU’s Purple Tiger Invitational Jan. 8.
He and the Southeastern track and field team will return to action this weekend when it competes at the University of New Mexico’s Cherry & Silver Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Meanwhile, at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Jonathan Jeffcoat, a Patterson High alum, finished 21st in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:20.13 at the Texas A&M Invitational Jan. 15.
ULM won’t return to action until Jan. 29 when it competes in the Houston Invitational.
