Stewart earns honor roll listing
University of Houston senior safety Trevon Stewart was named to the American Athletic Conference’s Honor Roll following his performance in the team’s 34-31 victory against Louisville Saturday.
Stewart, a Patterson High alum, had six tackles — two for a loss — a sack for a loss of 17 yards, a fumble recovery and an interception he returned 58 yards to the Louisville 27.
Houston turned the turnover into points via a Kyle Bullard 21-yard field goal for a 20-17 lead with 14:56 remaining in the fourth quarter.
For the season, Stewart is tied for second on the team with 12 tackles (nine solo and three assists). He has two tackles for a loss of 18 yards, one sack for a loss of 17 yards, one interception return for 58 yards, one pass defended, one quarterback hurry and one fumble recovery.
