ULL moves up in polls

The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team moved up in four of the five national polls Monday, including a 10-spot jump in the Perfect Game rankings to 14th.
The squad’s highest ranking came in the Baseball America Top 25 at No. 7,
The Cajuns (10-2) also moved up two spots to 11th in the Collegiate Baseball Top 25 and five spots to 15th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll.
As of Monday, the USA Today Coaches’ Poll had not released a midseason poll yet, but the Cajuns were 24th in their preseason poll.
Louisiana-Lafayette is set to host four games at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field this week to close out a seven-game home stand. The Cajuns open the week with Southeastern Louisiana Wednesday at 6 p.m. before a three-game series with Texas Southern starting Friday at 6 p.m.
