2 arrested for domestic abuse battery in Patterson

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 49 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Dalton Ray Cooper, 41, of the 100 block of Natalie Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. Tuesday for domestic abuse battery.
—Valencia Cooper, 40, of the 100 block of Natalie Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 10:07 p.m. Tuesday for domestic abuse battery.
Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress at a residence on Natalie Lane. Upon arrival, a deputy observed a male outside the home. As the deputy approached the male, a female came running out of the residence. The deputy identified the male as Dalton Cooper and the female as Valencia Cooper. During the investigation, the deputy learned that the two subjects were involved in an argument over a mobile phone that escalated into a physical encounter. Both refused medical treatment. Both were taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set. 
—Michael L. Raymond Jr., 35, of the 200 block of Kathleen Street in Patterson, was arrested at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for four counts of issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Raymond on the warrant at an apartment complex on La. 182 in Berwick. Raymond was released on a summons to appear in court on Jan. 10.
—Marie E. Siracusa, 58, of the 200 block of Brashear Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:13 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Siracusa on the warrant at a residence on Brashear Avenue. She was released on a summons to appear in court on Jan. 10.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Kristie McNabb, 31, of Sixth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday for criminal neglect of family. McNabb is still being held.
—Christopher Pittman, 31, of Sixth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday for remaining in places after being forbidden. Pittman is still being held on $250 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
